Why, oh why, does GoogleMail get so much asian-text spam?

 

I do like the use of gmail, but wondered how come I get sent regular spam messages from before I even published my gmail address anywhere on the web.

 

But at least the spam filtering works well on that email account and the junk does get filed in the correct place...
